RSU 10 Superintendent Search Community Survey

As RSU 10 begins the important process of hiring its next Superintendent of Schools, gathering broad and meaningful input from the community is a critical first step. This survey, which will open on January 5 and close on January 19, provides an opportunity for staff, families, students and community members to share their perspectives on the characteristics, leadership qualities, and professional qualifications most important in the district’s next superintendent. In order to assist people in visualizing the area that has been under discussion, here is a video of the MVCS Athletic Prep Area that is adjacent to the gymnasium used for instruction PreK-5. Grades 6-8 physical ed. classes will be in the "auxiliary" gymnasium located next to the middle school wing of the school. Not where they will have access to the Athletic Prep Area.

Today, Wednesday December 10th, RSU 10 will release school at 12:30pm due to the impending snowstorm. This includes Western Foothills Regional Program. There will be no afternoon or evening school events.

We want to remind families that The Old School Food Pantry is open and available to everyone. The pantry receives lots of fresh produce each week as well as pantry staples. Students can visit themselves if families are unable.

MVHS Building update - This afternoon the building was evacuated due to the strong smell of propane. Thanks to the Rumford Fire Department for quickly responding and determining the cause. The propane and boilers were shut down and a repair outside of the building is being made. The repair will allow for the system to be turned back on. The use of the building tomorrow will be determined based on the completion of this repair.
