My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and a master’s degree from the University of Maine. Prior to working as an administrator I was a special education teacher for 11 years. In 2005 I began working as a Special Education Director. It is a pleasure to work with staff, students and families in this community.
As the Assistant Director of Special Services, I strongly believe all students can learn. I worked at Mountain Valley Middle School from 2006-2017 as a Special Education teacher within the Resource Room setting and Functional Life Skills program and a Building Based Coordinator. Prior to graduating college I worked as an Educational Technician II, in the Special Education Department and English Language Learners department. My educational background includes, a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Degree for Special Education and General Education, and a Master’s Degree in Middle Level Education from Walden University. I look forward to continuing to work with students and families in RSU 10.
As the clinical supervisor, I am also the director of the program. I believe strongly in trauma informed practice and individualized academic programming. I come to Pennacook from Dirigo Elementary where I worked as a guidance counselor, assistant principal and special education coordinator for eleven years. My educational background includes an associates degree in social services, bachelors degree in mental health and human services and a masters degree in social work from the University of New England. I have worked for NFI North Children’s Services, Tri County Mental Heath and Spurwink prior to my work in RSU #10. I look forward to working with the students and families of Pennacook Learning Center.
